    Today's practice focuses on building awareness and strength in your core. The core is the foundation of your yoga practice so take a deep breath and get ready to begin.

    Today is your introduction to the most common poses found in a vinyasa practice. Having knowledge and understanding of these postures will help you move deeper in your personal practice.

    Sun Salutation A's and Sun Salutation B's is where we focus today. These poses are the "bread and butter," or base, of a vinyasa practice. Give as much as you can, hold the poses for as long as you can, and you'll be able to feel your progress!

    Today we work on our warrior series. Focus on squeezing in toward center. This will help you build the small stabilizing muscles that will protect you from injury as you age!

    In yoga, as in life, balance is key. While holding these postures for as long as you can, focus on setting your drishti, or gaze. Set your eyes, keep them focused, and breathe into that space.

    The first half of today's floor series focuses on using your whole body, front and back, to support the postures, putting everything you have into them. The second half, we want you to focus on softening into the posture, letting go and releasing into it.
