In yoga, as in life, balance is key. While holding these postures for as long as you can, focus on setting your drishti, or gaze. Set your eyes, keep them focused, and breathe into that space.
Time for planks and twists. You'll be holding these poses a little longer so take that time to work on waking up your whole body, don't just rely on those large muscle groups to do the work.
Today we work on our warrior series. Focus on squeezing in toward center. This will help you build the small stabilizing muscles that will protect you from injury as you age!
Sun Salutation A's and Sun Salutation B's is where we focus today. These poses are the "bread and butter," or base, of a vinyasa practice. Give as much as you can, hold the poses for as long as you can, and you'll be able to feel your progress!
