I have been doing a combination of running and HIIT training over the past 6 months, and just starting skipping last week. I feel great and have noticed a SMALL change in my body's appearance, and a large change in my overall strength! Yay! I'm not so concerned with hitting an ideal weight on the scale so much as toning and getting the 'look' I want from body, so basically tone up!
...My problem is that I had my thyroid irradiated 6 years ago and have not been able to get my thyroid hormone replacement regulated (lots more to that story but I don't want to write a medical history novel on the forum!)
I have a VERY clean diet, and regularly use some of Bodyrocks recipes. I'm also aware of metabolism boosting foods and drinks and incorporate them into my daily regime (IE: green tea, cinnamon, cayenne, coconut oil)
It's a little discouraging to be putting in so much effort yet yield such slow results... but I'm not quitting! I feel SO much better as a whole with fitness in my life. Ultimately I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge that could help me better utilize my physical efforts given the thyroid disease. IE: more HIIT, less running or vice versa
